Football News Update: Bristol Rovers Sign Defender Clinton Mola on Three-Year Deal

In a significant move for the upcoming season, Bristol Rovers have secured the signing of defender Clinton Mola on a three-year contract, following his release from fellow League One club Reading.

The 23-year-old former Chelsea youth player, who also has a 12-month option in his Rovers contract, made a total of 35 appearances in all competitions for Reading last season after joining as a free agent in September.

Mola, a former England Under-21 international, had previously left German side Stuttgart last summer before returning to England, where he also had a previous loan stint with Blackburn in the Championship.

“Clinton is a versatile defender who possesses some fantastic attributes. He has gained some great experience despite being only 23 years of age.”
