Football News Update: Carlisle United Re-sign Striker Charlie Wyke
In a significant move for the football club, Carlisle United have announced the re-signing of striker Charlie Wyke on a two-year contract. The 31-year-old forward previously made 89 appearances in all competitions for the Cumbrians before departing for Bradford City in 2017.
Last season, Wyke scored seven goals in 18 league appearances for Wigan Athletic, before joining Rotherham United on loan in February. His return to Carlisle United is a welcome boost for the team and its supporters.
