Cheltenham Sign Teenage Midfielder Joel Colwill on Loan from Cardiff City
Cheltenham, England (August 15th, 2023) – In a major move for the upcoming football season, Cheltenham have secured the signing of teenage midfielder Joel Colwill from Cardiff City on a season-long loan deal.
The 19-year-old Bluebirds academy graduate, who has been with the club since the age of six, made his first senior appearance last August in the Carabao Cup. Colwill, who has also represented Wales at the Under-21 level and whose brother Rubin also plays for Cardiff, was brought on as a substitute during two Championship games towards the end of the previous season.
“I’m really confident in my game at the minute,” the young midfielder expressed.
