The 2024 UEFA European Championship, commonly known as Euro 2024, is just around the corner, and football fans are eagerly awaiting the highly anticipated tournament. In a significant development, FIFA has announced the host cities for the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. A total of 16 cities have been selected, including Monterrey and Guadalajara in Mexico, and Vancouver in Canada. The other U.S. host cities are Philadelphia, Houston, Seattle, and San Francisco.

Interestingly, only one city, Guadalajara, will not host a knockout game during the tournament. Teams are likely to face a significant amount of travel between games, with the shortest distance between a quarter-final and a semi-final venue being just over 500 miles from Kansas City to Dallas, and the longest being just under 2,200 miles between Los Angeles and Atlanta.
The schedule for the 2026 World Cup has been drawn up in consultation with stakeholders, including national team coaches and technical directors.
