Football News Update: Crawley Town Secures Midfielder Jack Roles on Two-Year Contract

In a significant move, Crawley Town has announced the signing of midfielder Jack Roles to a new two-year contract. The 25-year-old player was instrumental in the club’s promotion to League One last season, making 37 appearances and scoring six goals, including one in the play-off semi-final.

Roles, who came through the academy at Tottenham Hotspur, has had loan spells at various clubs, including Cambridge United, Burton Albion, and Stevenage, before joining Crystal Palace in 2021. He then moved to Woking before signing for Crawley in January 2023.

“It is an amazing feeling signing my new contract with the club, especially considering the season we have just had getting promoted to League One,” Roles said on the club’s website.

In addition to Roles’ contract extension, Crawley Town also announced that fellow midfielder Jeremy Kelly has agreed to a two-year deal with the club.

This news comes as the football world eagerly anticipates the start of the 2024 European Championship (Euro 2024), the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League, and the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Fans will also be closely following the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations and the upcoming Premier League, EFL Cup, EFL Championship, EFL One, EFL Two, and FA Cup seasons.

As the football landscape continues to evolve, Crawley Town’s commitment to securing key players like Jack Roles highlights the club’s ambition and determination to build a strong squad capable of competing at the highest levels.
