Crawley Town Secure Panutche Camara’s Return for Two-Year Deal
(Crawley, England – August 1, 2023) Crawley Town have announced the re-signing of Panutche Camara on an initial two-year contract. The 27-year-old midfielder returns to Broadfield Stadium, where he previously played for three seasons after joining from non-league side Dulwich Hamlet in 2017.
Camara, an international for Guinea-Bissau, then departed for Championship club Plymouth in 2020, making 95 appearances at Home Park. Two years later, he signed for newly-promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town. However, his time at Portman Road was hampered by injuries, and he only made four appearances for the Tractor Boys before being loaned out to Charlton Athletic last season.
Now, the experienced midfielder will once again don the Crawley Town colors and could feature in the Reds’ opening League One fixture this Saturday at home against Blackpool.
This signing marks a homecoming for Camara, who will look to recapture the form that made him a fan favorite during his previous spell with the club. Crawley Town fans will be eager to see their former player back in action as the team prepares for the upcoming League One campaign.
