Netherlands Suffer Disappointing 3-2 Defeat Against Austria in Euro 2024 Group Stage
In a crucial Euro 2024 Group D clash, the Netherlands suffered a 3-2 defeat against Austria at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. The Oranje’s hopes of finishing top of the group were dashed as they were outplayed by their determined opponents.
Ronald Koeman’s side got off to a slow start, and found themselves behind early on when Donyell Malen inadvertently poked the ball into his own net. The Dutch had a chance to level things up, but Malen was unable to capitalize on a one-on-one opportunity.

Memphis Depay pulled the Netherlands level once again, but their joy was short-lived as the impressive Marcel Sabitzer scored the winning goal for Austria, beating Bart Verbruggen from a tight angle.
