Euro 2024: Group E on a Knife Edge as Slovakia Face Romania

In a crucial Euro 2024 Group E clash, Slovakia and Romania will go head-to-head in Frankfurt, with German referee Daniel Siebert taking charge of the proceedings. The match holds immense significance as all four teams in the group – Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine, and Belgium – are currently locked on three points each, making the final round of fixtures a thrilling affair.

Siebert, a 39-year-old part-time teacher, has previous experience officiating at major tournaments, having been involved in Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup. He will be assisted by fellow Germans Jan Seidel and Rafael Foltyn, while Felix Zwayer, a 42-year-old real estate broker, will serve as the fourth official.

Completing the all-German officiating crew is Bastian Dankert, who has been a FIFA-listed official since 2014 and will take on the role of VAR.

“The stakes are high as the outcome of the Slovakia-Romania clash will determine the fate of the teams in Group E. A win for either side will secure their place in the last 16, while a draw would see both teams advance to the knockout phase, with their final group positions depending on the result between Ukraine and Belgium.”

Fans can look forward to a tense and exciting encounter as the teams battle for a spot in the Euro 2024 knockout rounds.
