Football News: Jack Harrison Set for Second Loan Spell at Everton
Leeds United winger Jack Harrison to join Everton on loan again
Leeds United winger Jack Harrison is poised to return to Everton for a second consecutive season-long loan, as the 27-year-old looks to continue his development outside of the West Yorkshire club’s pursuit of a Premier League return.
Harrison, who initially joined Manchester City from MLS partner club New York City FC in 2018, spent the previous campaign at Goodison Park following Leeds’ relegation from the top flight. With the Whites consigned to another season in the Championship, the former England Under-21 international has signed a deal to remain with Everton for the 2024-25 campaign.
“This will mark Harrison’s sixth season as a loan player, having previously spent time at Middlesbrough before establishing himself as a key figure at Leeds, eventually securing a permanent move to Elland Road in 2021.”
The winger, who scored four goals for the Toffees last term, is under contract with Leeds until 2028.
As the football world turns its attention to the upcoming Euro 2024 and the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup in 2026, along with the ongoing Champions League and Women’s World Cup competitions, the Premier League, EFL Cup, EFL Championship, EFL One, EFL Two, and FA Cup will continue to provide the backdrop for rising talents like Harrison to showcase their skills and contribute to their respective clubs’ success.
The Africa Cup of Nations standings, too, will remain a point of focus for football enthusiasts, as the continental tournament serves as a platform for the game’s best African talents to shine. With the 2023-24 season fast approaching, the football community eagerly awaits the next chapter in this ever-evolving landscape.
