Wolves Eye £25m Swoop for Norwegian Striker Jorgen Strand Larsen

In a move that has the football world buzzing, Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly in advanced negotiations to secure the signing of Celta Vigo striker Jorgen Strand Larsen for a reported fee of £25 million. The 6ft 4inch Norwegian international, who has impressed with his goal-scoring exploits in La Liga, is believed to have set his sights on a move to the Premier League.

According to talkSPORT, the negotiations between Wolves and Larsen’s representatives are progressing at a rapid pace, with personal terms expected to be finalized soon. The 23-year-old striker, who scored 13 goals in La Liga last season, has also attracted interest from Serie A clubs, but the Premier League appears to be his preferred destination.

“Aston Villa and West Ham United have also shown interest in Larsen, but Wolves’ pursuit has been the most concrete so far.”

The Midlands club, led by manager Gary O’Neill, are keen to bolster their attacking options ahead of the upcoming season, as they look to build on their impressive performances in the Premier League and potentially make a push for a spot in the UEFA Europa League or UEFA Champions League.

Wolves have had to tighten their purse strings in recent months, with O’Neill hinting that the club may not be able to spend big this summer. However, the potential signing of Larsen suggests that the club is determined to strengthen its squad and challenge for a higher position in the league table.

In other news, Wolves have already completed the signings of defensive pair Rodrigo Gomes from Braga and Brazilian wonderkid Pedro Lima, who is set to join the club on July 1 after successfully completing a medical.

Meanwhile, the club’s skipper, Max Kilman, remains a target for Premier League rivals Newcastle United and West Ham United, despite Wolves rejecting bids for the defender.
