Football News Update: AFC Wimbledon Sign Experienced Defender John-Joe O’Toole

In a significant move for the upcoming season, AFC Wimbledon have secured the permanent signing of veteran Irish defender John-Joe O’Toole. The 35-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Plough Lane, has now joined the club on a full-time basis.

O’Toole, a former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, has enjoyed a remarkable 17-year career, making over 530 appearances for various clubs. His impressive résumé includes a League Two title triumph with Northampton Town in 2016, as well as spells at Watford, Sheffield United, Burton Albion, and Bristol Rovers.
