London, UK – David Raya, the 28-year-old Spanish goalkeeper, has hinted that his future remains uncertain despite a successful loan spell at Arsenal from Brentford, which included an obligation to buy.
Raya joined the Gunners in a move that was seen as somewhat surprising, as Mikel Arteta claimed he wanted to rotate both Raya and Aaron Ramsdale. “I would like to play in Spain one day,” Raya said. “As I have never played in the Spanish league, then, returning would not be returning. Coming home, at some point, yes. I don’t close any doors.”

Let’s see what happens this year, if I stay at Arsenal or not. You have to wait and see,” he added.
Raya is currently with the Spain national team at Euro 2024, where he was an unused substitute in their 3-0 opening Group B match against Croatia in Berlin on Saturday.
The uncertainty surrounding Raya’s future could have implications for Arsenal’s transfer plans, as they are reported to be in the market for a striker.
