England’s Euro 2024 Campaign Raises Questions

Despite getting off to a winning start at Euro 2024 with Jude Bellingham’s first-half header against Serbia, questions have been raised about Gareth Southgate’s team selection and Phil Foden’s role. The 24-year-old Manchester City star was in stunning form last season, scoring 27 goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions. However, Foden struggled to influence the game while playing on the left of a front three for England.

“Jude Bellingham has to remain in number 10 over Phil Foden despite the latter’s disappointing Serbia performance.” – Stuart Pearce, Former England Under-21 Manager

Pearce, speaking to BoyleSports about the latest Euro 2024 betting, suggested that Southgate may attempt to change the system as the tournament progresses to get the best out of both Bellingham and Foden, saying: “Maybe it will be two number 10s.”
