Football News Update: Manchester United ‘Interested in Signing’ Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, Tracking Danish Star at Euro 2024

In the latest football transfer news, Manchester United and Chelsea are both reportedly “interested in signing” Bournemouth’s young left-back Milos Kerkez, according to reports. The 20-year-old Hungarian defender, who is currently representing his country at the Euro 2024 tournament, joined the Cherries from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar last summer for £15.5million.

Kerkez impressed during his debut Premier League season and has now caught the eye of the Premier League giants. It is claimed that both United and Chelsea are “in the market for a new young left-back” and have “scouted and discussed” the prospect of signing Kerkez. However, no official approach has been made yet, and Bournemouth value the player at around £35million.

In addition to Kerkez, Manchester United are also “tracking” another player at the Euro 2024 tournament – Sporting and Denmark midfielder Morten Hjulmand. The 24-year-old is also being monitored by Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona, but Sporting expect him to remain with the Portuguese club, with his £69million (€80million) release clause yet to be triggered.

“These potential signings would fit the transfer philosophy of Manchester United’s new co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is prioritizing players aged 25 or younger.”

As the summer transfer window opens, football fans can expect more updates on these and other major moves in the world of football.
