Football News Update: Rotherham United Bolsters Squad with Loan Signing of Nuremberg Winger Joseph Hungbo

Rotherham, UK – In a move to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season, Rotherham United have secured the loan signing of Nuremberg winger Joseph Hungbo. The 24-year-old will join the Millers on a season-long loan deal, as they look to bounce back from a challenging 2023-24 campaign.

Hungbo, who began his career at Watford, has gained valuable experience through previous loan spells with Ross County and Huddersfield Town before making the move to the German second tier side Nuremberg last summer. During his time in Germany, the versatile winger made 17 appearances for the club.

“This latest acquisition marks Rotherham’s 11th summer signing as they prepare for the new season. The Millers will be hoping that Hungbo’s addition can provide a much-needed boost to their squad as they aim to improve upon their bottom-of-the-table finish in the 2023-24 EFL Championship.”

Rotherham United will kick off their 2024-25 EFL Championship campaign with a trip to Exeter City on Saturday, 10th August. Football fans will be keen to see how Hungbo integrates into the team and contributes to the Millers’ pursuit of a more successful season.
