Manchester United Unlikely to Pursue Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, Eye Sporting Duo

In the latest transfer news, Manchester United are reportedly “unlikely to go back in” for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth. The Red Devils had a £35 million bid for the impressive Toffees center-back rejected, with Everton rumored to be demanding a hefty £70 million fee.

However, the focus at Old Trafford appears to have shifted to other targets, with reports suggesting that Manchester United are “preparing to advance” for Sporting Lisbon duo Goncalo Inacio and Morten Hjulmand. The Portuguese giants’ demands, including a €60 million (£51 million) release clause for Inacio and a valuation of €80 million (£68 million) for the “untouchable” Hjulmand, could prove challenging for the Premier League side to meet.

“The news comes as new owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are said to have a ‘five-window plan’ to help Manchester United challenge for the Premier League title once again.”

Respected journalist Ben Jacobs confirmed that INEOS are looking to make two early signings this summer to kick-start the rebuilding process under manager Erik ten Hag.

In other transfer updates, Manchester United have been linked with a number of high-profile players, including a striker target who “would love” to play in the Premier League. The club’s hierarchy has also found itself in “hot water” with the manager, according to reports.

As the transfer window heats up, football fans will be eagerly awaiting further developments in Manchester United’s pursuit of reinforcements to bolster their squad for the upcoming season, which includes competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, EFL Cup, and FA Cup.
