Football News Roundup: Burton Albion Sign Swedish Forward Julian Larsson from Nottingham Forest
In the latest football transfer news, Burton Albion have secured the signing of Swedish forward Julian Larsson from Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old player joined the Premier League club Nottingham Forest in January 2020 from the Swedish top-flight side AIK, but he failed to make a first-team appearance during his time with the Reds.
Instead, Larsson regularly featured for Nottingham Forest’s under-21 side and scored one goal in two appearances for their EFL Trophy campaign last season. In February, he was sent on loan to League Two side Morecambe.
“The move to Burton Albion marks Larsson’s latest chapter, as the east Staffordshire club looks to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.”
Burton Albion narrowly avoided relegation from League One last season and have now welcomed six new players since the club was taken over by the Sweden-based Nordic Football Group.
Football fans will be keen to see how Larsson performs in his new surroundings as he looks to make a name for himself in the English Football League.
