Football News Update: Crawley Town Bolster Squad with Signings from Grimsby Town
In the latest Football News, Crawley Town have secured the signings of defender Toby Mullarkey and midfielder Gavan Holohan from Grimsby Town.
Mullarkey, a 28-year-old defender, has joined the Red Devils for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal. The player, who has previously featured for Rochdale and Altrincham, where he made over 100 appearances, expressed his delight at the move, stating,
“It is another step up for me in my career. I am delighted to get the deal done and am ready to get stuck in. My conversations with the manager have been really good so far, I think the relationship is going to work really well.”
Last season, Mullarkey made 48 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals and registering four assists.
Joining Mullarkey is 32-year-old midfielder Gavan Holohan, who has put pen to paper on a two-year contract following the expiration of his deal at Blundell Park. Holohan, who featured 44 times for Grimsby last season as they finished 21st in League Two, commented,
“I am really pleased that this deal is done. It has been in the pipeline for weeks now, and when I heard about the interest, I knew that I wanted to get the deal over the line.”
These signings will undoubtedly bolster Crawley Town’s squad as they look to make their mark in the upcoming season, which will feature key Football events such as the Euro 2024, Champions League, FIFA World Cup, Women’s World Cup, Africa Cup of Nations Standings, Premier League, EFL Cup, EFL Championship, EFL One, EFL Two, and FA Cup.
