England’s Struggles at Euro 2024

In a recent analysis, England boss Gareth Southgate has highlighted two key areas where the Three Lions are currently falling short at the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament.

Despite remaining unbeaten in their group stage campaign, Southgate acknowledged that his team needs to improve in certain aspects if they are to mount a serious challenge for the European Championship title.

“While we’ve managed to remain unbeaten so far, there are a couple of areas where we clearly need to step up our game,” Southgate said in a post-match interview. “Our defensive organization and clinical finishing have been concerns, and we’ll be working hard to address these issues ahead of our next match against Slovenia.”

The Three Lions will face Slovenia in their next Euro 2024 fixture, as they look to solidify their position at the top of their group and secure a spot in the knockout stages of the competition.

With the FIFA World Cup later this year and the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations also on the horizon, Southgate knows that his side must find a way to unlock their full potential if they are to succeed on the international stage.
