Football News Update: Brodie Spencer’s Contract Extension at Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town, the English Football League (EFL) Championship club, has exercised an option to extend the contract of their young Northern Irish full-back Brodie Spencer until the end of the 2025-26 season.

The 20-year-old international, who has earned nine caps for the Northern Ireland national team, was entering the final year of his previous deal with the Terriers. However, the club has now secured his services for an additional three years, keeping him at the John Smith’s Stadium until the summer of 2026.

“Spencer, who was recalled from a loan spell at Scottish Premiership side Motherwell in January, made 21 appearances for Huddersfield Town last season.”

The club, which was relegated to EFL League One in May, will be looking to bounce back immediately when they start their new campaign away at Peterborough United this Saturday.

The contract extension for Brodie Spencer is a positive move for Huddersfield Town as they aim to strengthen their squad and push for promotion back to the EFL Championship. The young defender’s continued presence in the team will be crucial as the Terriers navigate the challenges of the upcoming season in EFL League One.
