Football News Update: Liverpool Eyeing Wolves Defender Ait-Nouri, Kimmich Linked
Liverpool Interested in Wolves Defender Ait-Nouri
As Liverpool prepare for a new era under manager Arne Slot, the club is reportedly interested in signing Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri. According to journalist Dave Davis, the French left-back is Liverpool’s “first choice” if he leaves Molineux this summer.
The Reds have already bolstered their midfield with the acquisitions of Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Ryan Gravenberch, replacing the departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. Now, the club is said to be eyeing Ait-Nouri as a potential addition to their backline.
Liverpool Linked with Bayern Munich’s Kimmich
In other Liverpool news, the club has been linked with a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich. Journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed that Liverpool are “in the race” to sign the German international, who could leave Bavaria in the upcoming transfer window. Juventus, Barcelona, and Manchester United are also reportedly interested in Kimmich’s services.
Jacobs suggests that Kimmich’s future may be tied to Fulham’s potential signing of Joao Palhinha, as the defensive midfielder’s arrival could further question Kimmich’s position at Bayern Munich.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Liverpool will be looking to build on their strong finish to the 2022-23 Premier League season and challenge for the top spots once again under their new manager, Arne Slot.
