Football News Update: Everton Interested in Hull Winger Jaden Philogene

Everton are among a number of Premier League clubs that have expressed interest in signing Hull City winger Jaden Philogene, as reported by talkSPORT.

It is understood that the Championship club, Hull, would be willing to part ways with the 22-year-old forward if they receive an offer in the region of £15 million.

Philogene made headlines back in February after scoring a stunning “goal of the century” contender against Rotherham. The ex-Aston Villa player dribbled past his marker before slotting home a remarkable rabona finish.

Last season, the young winger was directly involved in 18 Championship goals, scoring 12 and providing 6 assists, as Hull narrowly missed out on a play-off spot.

Philogene joined the Yorkshire club in a £5 million transfer from Aston Villa last summer, where he made 6 first-team appearances.

Should the move to Merseyside materialize, Philogene would become Everton’s fourth signing of a busy summer transfer window. The Toffees have already secured the signings of Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa and the loan return of Jack Harrison from Leeds United.

Everton are also close to completing the permanent acquisition of forward Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille, with the Ligue 1 side hoping to recoup the majority of the £20 million they paid to sign him from Sheffield United in 2023.

In other news, Everton have been active in terms of player departures, having sold winger Lewis Dobbin to Aston Villa, while defender Ben Godfrey is poised to join Champions League side Atalanta in a £10 million deal.
