Football News: Crewe Alexandra Bolster Attacking Options with Signing of Veteran Striker Omar Bogle
In a move to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the upcoming season, Crewe Alexandra have announced the signing of experienced forward Omar Bogle on a two-year contract. The 31-year-old striker was previously plying his trade for Newport County, where he netted 24 goals in 71 league appearances over the past two seasons.
Bogle’s professional career began at Solihull Moors, and he has since represented a number of clubs, including Grimsby Town, Wigan, Cardiff, and Charlton Athletic. His wealth of experience and proven goal-scoring ability will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to Crewe Alexandra as they look to mount a challenge in the upcoming EFL League Two campaign.
“We’re delighted to welcome Omar to the club. His experience and goal-scoring record will be a huge boost for us as we look to improve on our performance from last season.”

Crewe’s manager, Lee Bell, will be hoping that Bogle’s addition to the squad, along with the recent signings of Jack Lankester, Kane Hemmings, Jamie Knight, and Max Sanders, will help the team improve on their disappointing loss to Crawley Town in the League Two play-off final at Wembley in May.
The new season will kick off with an away game against Barrow for Crewe Alexandra, as they aim to secure a more successful outcome and potentially earn promotion to the EFL League One.
