Football News Update: Huddersfield Town Sign Mickel Miller

In a significant move for the upcoming League One season, Huddersfield Town have announced the signing of Mickel Miller on a two-year contract. The 28-year-old wing-back joins the club following his release from Plymouth Argyle.

Miller made a total of 49 appearances for the Pilgrims over the past two seasons and was a key member of the squad that secured promotion to the Championship in the 2022-23 campaign. Despite Plymouth’s narrow escape from the relegation zone, the versatile defender has now chosen to continue his career at Huddersfield Town, who were relegated to League One on the final day of the previous season.

“I’m really happy to be a Huddersfield Town player, and it didn’t take long for me to decide that this was the club I wanted to join this summer, despite other offers,” Miller told the Huddersfield website.

The new signing began his professional journey at Carshalton Town before moving to Hamilton Academical and then joining Rotherham United in 2020. During his time at Rotherham, Miller played a crucial role in the team’s League One title triumph and their victory in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

Huddersfield Town will be looking to bounce back from their relegation as they begin their League One campaign with a away match against Peterborough United on Saturday, 10 August.
